Giving Back
ROMAC x I.A.M.
We believe that for tourism to be truly sustainable we need to make giving back a priority. We are proud to support the initiatives of Roberto Ricci and his Italian Non-Profit Organization, I Aid Madagascar (I.A.M.). Profits from guest stays with ROMAC funded enough donations to build a local elementary school in Antafianambitry, a village on Nosy Be, a small island off the western coast of Madagascar. The school provides regular school services to 150 local children.

ROMAC – La Prima
The School
The school, called ROMAC – La Prima, is composed of a covered veranda, four classrooms with vaulted, ventilated ceilings and furnished with desks, chalkboard and storage. From start to finish construction took just 55 days to complete. Under the close supervision of Roberto and his team, the project remained within budget and on time. The school was officially inaugurated on August 10, 2024, with local officials, their families, students and members of I.A.M. in attendance. About I.A.M.
I Aid Madagascar
I.A.M. was founded in Madagascar by Roberto Ricci on March 30, 2018. Together with a few friends who became founding members, he created “I Aid Madagascar” out of the love for the country, its people and the desire to help those in need. The Italian non-profit aims to provide assistance, funds and opportunities to the lesser known areas of the island outside the touristic zones.
According to the I.A.M. website, the organization “operates in the social assistance sector and aims to pursue exclusively social solidarity purposes, supporting and creating social projects concerning public health, education and the economy.”
